One of the fastest growing resorts on Egypt's popular Red Sea Riveira, Marsa Alam has today positioned itself as one of the regions leading watersports and activity leisure resorts. Hugely popular with both scuba divers and windsurfers, large numbers of visitors are attracted to the region each year, all keen to sample the delights of the clear blue waters of the legendary Red Sea.

As with so many of the popular resorts on the Red Sea Riveira, Marsa Alam was originally a peaceful fishing village, relatively undiscovered by the international tourist trade. Following the construction of the new international airport in 2001 however, Marsa Alam now attracts increasing numbers of overseas visitors to the region.
